Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Mechanic to join our dynamic automotive service team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully to execute repairs including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and welding tasks.
- Repair or replace critical systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and electrical components to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Interpret technical schematics and service manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
- Perform auto body repairs when necessary and ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to enhance vehicle longevity.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with GM vehicles.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, transmissions, powertrain components, and suspension systems.
- Knowledge of automotive safety features including ADAS technology and air brake systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
