Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Accountant at Bettendorf Enterprises Inc., located in Arcata, CA. The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage daily accounting activities, including preparing financial reports, handling tax filings, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Additional responsibilities include reconciling accounts, collaborating with other departments and providing insights to improve financial performance.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting, General Ledger Management, and Financial Analysis
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Proficient in Accounting Software, Spreadsheet Tools (e.g., Excel), and other accounting technology
- Excellent Problem-Solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA certification is a plus
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the transportation or lumber industry
