This position serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors while providing administrative support to the building principal, associate principals and school staff. The successful candidate will play an essential role in ensuring the efficient daily operation of the school office and creating a welcoming environment for all who enter the building.
8 Hours Per Day | 261 Days Per Year

The successful candidate will play an essential role in ensuring the efficient daily operation of the school office and creating a welcoming environment for all who enter the building.
8 Hours Per Day | 261 Days Per Year
Hourly Rate: $20.78 per hour
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous clerical, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and standard office technology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States.
- Serve as the primary receptionist for the school office by greeting students, families, staff, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and respond to inquiries.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the building principal, associate principals and school staff.
- Maintain accurate office files, records, and databases.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and building events.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information.
- Operate standard office equipment and district software systems.
- Support the overall mission and goals of the Bettendorf Community School District.
