Join the Bettendorf Community School District as a Floater Custodian. This position will float between buildings.
Do you take pride in creating clean, safe spaces for students and staff? Bettendorf CSD is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Custodian to join our Operations team!
Hours: 8 hours/day
Pay: $22.36/hour
Start Date: April 2026
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Pool certification in buildings where pools are located
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of custodial supplies and cleaning methods and techniques
- Ability to follow all health and safety regulations
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Effective written and verbal communication to respond to staff, students, and guests
- Able to maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment
- Ability to work independently in the absence of direct supervision
- Friendly, courteous, patient, and adaptable demeanor
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Flexibility to meet the daily needs of the school building
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful custodial experience in a school setting
