Experienced Construction Superintendent

Bette & Cring, LLC, an ENR Top 400 Contractor, is looking for qualified Construction Superintendent candidates to join our industry-leading Construction Management team and work on site at our clients in Upstate New York.

Opportunities available in our Buildings Division and Bridge/Heavy Highway Division .

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position requires a Team Player and self starter with excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills.

The primary roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Onsite coordinating, managing, and monitoring the performance of subcontractors and tradesmen ensuring compliance with project plans, schedule, quality, safety, and security requirements.
• Coordinating interface between project management, site supervision, and site operation participants in the execution of construction services
• Overseeing and auditing site safety and quality control programs
• Coordinating logistics, equipment and specialty material deliveries, and staging requirements
• Maintaining project documentation, drawings, and reporting functions;
• Supporting constructability and value management analysis with best industry practices;
• Supporting interface with Client Representatives on pro-active customer centric basis

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in an accredited industry related curriculum (engineering, construction, etc) plus a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience – OR – an equivalent combination of higher education, technical experience, and/or military background is required.

Supervisory experience in commercial construction preferred:

• Proven experience with construction projects $2 Million and up
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing site activity, anticipating and resolving field-related issues, establishing and enforcing site schedule
• Excellent communication skills – building client relationships, promoting community relations, and mentoring staff
• Prior success managing site safety and insurance risks
• Proficient in the use of basic computer applications and software such as MS Office and construction scheduling programs as well as Procore
• Ability to safely navigate conditions present at a construction site, including climbing ladders, cluttered areas, working in bad weather, hazardous areas, dark conditions, and maneuvering uneven surfaces etc. for the purpose of inspecting progress
