We are seeking a dedicated CDL Pump Truck Driver/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will primarily operate a septic / grease pump truck but also assist in various sewer excavation projects on an as needed basis, ensuring efficient and safe operations on-site. This role involves physical labor, equipment operation, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate septic pump trucks to service residential and commercial septic systems as well as restaurant grease traps
- Locate, uncover, and pump septic tanks; digging may be required
- Assist with excavation and installation / repair of sewer and water lines
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment
- Collect payments and provide excellent customer service
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company procedures
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A or B with Tanker endorsement
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Current DOT medical card
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Experience in septic services or excavation preferred, but not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 100 lbs
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional and drug free in customer facing position
