Bethlehem Preschool, Inc is looking for an Assistant Teacher. Applicants must be available Monday - Friday 7:30 - 5:30. Higher education or CDA is preferred for assistant teachers or in a program leading to a CDA. Experience with young children required. Great benefits and salary.
Teaching Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Works under the supervision of a teacher or instructor.
- Watches and supervises students.
- Gives students additional attention and instruction.
- Is present and engaged during class sessions.
- Supports teacher’s lessons by reviewing material with students.
- Contributes to lesson plans and class materials.
- Prepares classroom for the sessions.
- Enforces school and class rules to help teach students appropriate behavior.
- Assist in preparing materials or setting up equipment.
- Assists teachers with recordkeeping, such as tracking attendance.
Teaching Assistant Qualifications/ Skills:
- Communication skills
- Comfortable interacting with children
- Time management skills
- Organizational skills
- Analyzing information
- Decision making
- 1-2 years experience required, including early childhood centers, volunteering, babysitting and camp counselors.
- Willingness to undergo a background check
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
