What are the responsibilities and job description for the BUILDING MAINTENANCE HELPER position at Bethlehem Central School District?
Shift is: M-F 7AM 3:30PM at Operations & Maintenance. Responsible for District-Wide grounds keeping, turf management, vehicle/equipment maintenance, athletic field setups, irrigation systems, snow removal/surface treatment, and other duties as assigned. . Tasks are performed under direct supervision or according to specific instructions from superiors. Supervision over the work of others is not a responsibility of employees in this class. Does related work as required.
Job Qualifications
Experience in, and good working knowledge of grounds keeping, turf management, vehicle/equipment maintenance, athletic field setups, lining of athletic fields, irrigation systems, athletics/playground equipment, and snow removal/surface treatment. Highly motivated with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow oral and written instructions from supervisors; Willingness to perform routine maintenance and other manual tasks; Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; Thoroughness; Attention to detail; Dependability; Good physical condition. A valid NYS Drivers license is required.
