Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Youth Support Staff member located in Spartanburg, SC. Responsibilities include working closely with youth to provide guidance, mentorship, and support, ensuring their well-being and development. The role involves assisting in creating a safe and engaging environment, implementing safeguarding procedures, and facilitating activities that promote personal growth and positive social interactions. The Youth Support Staff will also provide technical support for youth engagement programs and maintain clear and effective communication with team members, youth, and their families.
Qualifications
- Experience in youth-focused roles and as Support Workers, with a passion for positively impacting young lives.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills to build positive relationships with youth and team members, as well as excellent Communication abilities to effectively engage with diverse groups.
- Understanding of Safeguarding practices and commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all program participants.
- Technical Support skills to facilitate program-related tools and resources.
- Dependability, organizational skills, and a collaborative approach to team-based work.
- Prior experience working with youth or in community-based programs is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education, social work, or a related field is a bonus.
