DESCRIPTION
Bethesda Repertory Theatre in Los Angeles is seeking an actor to immediately fill the role of Belize in our upcoming Under Candlelight performance of Angels in America: Millennium Approaches.
BELIZE: BIPOC. A former drag queen and nurse—sharp, compassionate, and morally grounded, with biting humor and deep empathy. This actor will also play Mr. Lies. All genders are encouraged to submit.
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
This is an intimate, actor-driven staging presented as part of our Under Candlelight series—minimalist, immediate, and deeply connected to the text and audience—performed in a candlelit space. This is a non-paying opportunity. However, it offers a chance to work on a landmark play with a passionate and growing theatre company, build relationships, and create meaningful work in a collaborative environment.
SCHEDULE
Rehearsals will take place weekday evenings in May (Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays), working with artist's schedules and their conflicts. Rehearsals and the performance will be in Glendale, CA.
*Table read and rehearsal begin early May
*Tech: Thu, June 4th
*Performance: Fri, June 5th
Actors should have strong availability during this period.
