What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activites Director position at Bethesda of Beresford?
We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and organized Activities Director to lead engaging programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about senior care and committed to creating meaningful daily experiences.
1. Coordinate activities, events, and outings for clients in residential services (at times apartment tenants) to promote incorporating healthy activities into their recovery program through out the week.
2. Work with community resources to establish routine activities for no or low cost. Including community service events.
3. Provide a wide range of activities including fitness, arts, music and other community events.
4. Documentation of activities as required by agency or outside contracts/grants.
5. Seek approval and provide Office Manager with necessary costs reports/receipts.
6. Update internal announcement list for clients and assist with social media and other agency activity public announcements.
7. Assist in working with donors and distribution of donated goods.
8. Attend and represent agency for collaboration meetings as needed.
9. Attend management meetings.
