Building & Property Technician II

Position is responsible to ensure that the maintenance, repair, sanitation and cleanliness are kept to a high standard and that all outside and equipment maintenance is timely. This position is the lead technician and works closely with the Director of Property & Facility Operations. This position is responsible for giving direction and working in collaboration with the Building & Property Technician I. The Building and Property Technician II supervises the custodial staff. S/he is responsible for reporting any problems or concerns regarding his/her work area(s) to their supervisor. S/he has building specific On-Call responsibilities. Qualifications Two year degree or trade school certification in related field. Experience and expertise in building maintenance and property management. Ability to work in an environment that providers services to the homeless and diverse population. Experience supervising staff. Knowledge of building mechanical systems essential. Valid NYS Driver’s License for at least one year. Ability to pass the Agency’s road test. Must be able to provide own transportation. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Knowledge of NYS and OSHA safety regulations. Ability to lift 50 lbs, minimum
