Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines, ensuring proper portioning and presentation.
- Assist with food production, including plating, and maintaining food quality standards.
- Support the dietary department by handling food safely, following sanitation protocols, and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
- Engage with residents or patients respectfully, providing excellent customer service and addressing special dietary needs or preferences.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, including proper manual handling techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Support meal delivery logistics, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices to ensure efficient service without injury.
- Follow all food safety procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and storage to prevent contamination or foodborne illnesses.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive dining environment that promotes resident satisfaction and safety.
