Seeking a full-time Laundry Aide to meet the needs of our residents.
Provides laundry services for the residents of the community.
Essential Functions

- Picks up laundry from residents rooms ensuring all items are identifiable and sorted according to the proper resident.
- Sorts, washes, dries, folds and hangs laundry according to community's procedures.
- Irons as required, according to community's procedures.
- Returns clean laundry to proper residents room.
- Maintains confidentiality of residents personal information in and out of the community and protects and supports residents rights.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor that encourages a positive nurturing environment for the residents, families, vendors, and guests.
- Maintains a positive customer service environment and practices honesty and integrity in all aspects of performance.
- Attends all scheduled in-services and training sessions.
- Ensures adequate daily coverage for meal service by communicating with the Culinary Services Director and/or Host/Hostess, to include taking resident orders for meals, providing drink refills according to residents’ / guests’ requests, assists with the cleaning, resetting and preparation of the dining room in-between mealtimes.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of washing, sorting, and ironing techniques.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate with residents and staff.
- Must show compassion and genuinely care for the elderly.
- Must be knowledgeable of the location of the MSDS sheets on hazardous materials and able to understand the guidelines.
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize workload as emergencies arise.
- Demonstrates a SERVANT heart and attitude by following our mission statement.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic laundry experience needed.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements: Light physical effort required to handle object up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently. Must be able to bend, stoop, and handle bulky objects.
