Job Summary (Adjunct Faculty): Exempt, Part-Time Bethel University is accepting applications for an Applied Vocal Instructor. This role will include 1) private instruction for voice students as assigned, and 2) leadership of studio masterclass sessions.
Essential Job Functions
- Teach applied voice
- Lead studio class sessions
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Vocal Performance, or equivalent in professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching in public or private education
Performance Measurements:
- Prompt scheduling, and reporting of grades to the music department supervisor.
- Maintaining a collegial, professional work environment and attitude when working with students, faculty, and staff.
- Yearly evaluations
Work normally involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discretion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (visitors or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. May be asked to do occasional lifting up to 25lbs.
