Your Role as an Army JROTC Instructor
As a JROTC instructor in LKSD, you will:

Maintain high expectations for student success and behavior

Administer assessments to monitor academic and leadership growth

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

Identify and support at-risk students with targeted interventions
-
Collaborate with fellow staff and community members
-
Foster strong relationships with students and families to create a positive learning environment

Participate in Cadet Command, 8th Brigade, and LKSD professional development and engage in school and advisory committee meetings

We are seeking candidates who:

Have a strong sense of adventure and are eager to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan community

Hold a valid JROTC Instructor Certificate (or are eligible to obtain one)

Have passed a CNACI background check through Cadet Command

Possess a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and demonstrate a commitment to effective educational practices

Compensation and Benefits
LKSD offers competitive pay and benefits to support your personal and professional success:

Annual Salary: $59,391–$102,711 (dependent on Cadet Command’s minimum instructor pay)
