About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide daily support to adults with intellectual disabilities and dual diagnoses, assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, and community engagement. No prior experience is necessary, we offer paid training!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities including meal preparation
- Provide personal care and hygiene assistance
- Support individuals in community engagement
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment
- Follow individual support plans
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere for growth and self-determination
- Support IDD (Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) in reaching the goals outlined in their Service Plan.
- Provide companionship and engaging activities, such as reading and taking walks.
- Accompany clients to appointments when necessary
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment through housekeeping tasks
- Effective communication and empathy are vital for building strong, trusting relationships with those you support
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time
- Must pass Medication Administration Certification within two weeks of hire (We will train!)
- Must be available to work every other weekend
