Job Description
The Resident Assistant will be offering personal care services to the residents of our Assisted Living facility. They will be responsible to the Administrator of The Haven, a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE). This will include working with the other Resident Assistants to ensure that resident needs pertaining to the activities of daily living are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Report on shift when expected / stay until shift ends
- Always use safety measures for resident and self when using body mechanics.
- Assist with safe transfer to and from bed, chair, sofa, commode, walker
- Follow basic hygiene and infection control practices; a list of which will be reviewed and distributed to all staff
- Contribute to a positive, healthy, and safe living and work environment
- Protect the confidentiality and security of all resident information
- Document daily care notes
- Maintain calendar / organize mail
- Recognize emergencies and have knowledge of emergency procedures associated with what is presented
- Attend paid mandatory staff events / training and meetings
- Engage in mental exercise
- Report significant changes in a residents needs
- Implement resident care plan(s)
- Report questions / concerns to management in a timely manner
- Recognize behaviors that would constitute elder abuse or neglect
