Full Time (80 hours/2 weeks) 8:30am-5:00pm
The Health Information Coordinator is responsible for managing the health information department and all functions necessary to provide complete, accurate medical records like legal documents which follow AHIMA Long Term Care Health Information Practice and Documentation Guidelines and federal/state regulations.
The position of Health Information Coordinator is required to have excellent computer skills. Must be adept in use of printers, photocopier, calculator, and software programs, including Excel, Word, and Access. Must be able to master Point Click Care (PCC), etc. and will obtain information through communication with the HIM consultant. The Health Information Coordinator must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. The Health Information Coordinator must be able to work independently.
