Bindery Manager
Full Time Regular (40 hours) – hourly
Bloomington, MN
Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday
Salary range: $26.00 - $30.00

Bethany Press prints and binds books for publishers and ministries using both traditional offset equipment and new state-of-the-art inkjet equipment. You have the skills to lead the bindery operation with wisdom, grace, and integrity in a manner that ensures policies and procedures are followed, maximizes profitability, continually improves efficiency, and delivers quality to our customers.
What you’ll do:
Production output and quality standards
- Meet or exceed targeted standards for efficiency and daily throughput.
- Maintain quality checks at various points in the production process to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure checklists are in place and completed at each step of the binding process.
Communication and scheduling
- Develop and maintain positive employee relations and ensure open lines of communication.
- Manage crew schedules and personnel according to daily department needs.
- Facilitate departmental meetings that clearly communicate company direction and goals.
Employee selection and development
- Promote growth and development of each employee through training and coaching opportunities.
- Conduct personnel evaluations and recommend improvement plans and employee compensation.
- Communicate and hold employees to departmental and company policies.
Organization and Safety
- Implement proper operating procedures and ensure adherence through training and accountability.
- Organize, document, and file records, meeting notes, and other needed paperwork
- Ensure that department safety procedures are communicated and enforced.
- Ensure a clean, healthy, and safe work environment
- Posses the ability to lead people and communicate in a positive, effective manner.
- Have experience in leading a team of people in a production environment.
- Be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel or other similar computer software.
- Personal drive and ambition with potential of growing with our organization.
