Part time Dietary Aide

Schedule: 32 hours per week 4 days Sunday to Wednesday 8am to 4.30pm
Pay Rate: $20 - $22 per hour depending on experience

Experience/Skills:
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions
- Ability to plan, organize and set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers.
- Requires empathy and compassion for the elderly.
Responsibilities include:
Dietary Aide will put away all deliveries, which includes labeling, dating, and rotating stock, passing food carts to other parts of the building, preparing beverage carts, doing the daily tray cards for our residents, cleaning all the things, making sure pantry, fridge, freezers are tidy and pulling foods for the cooks.

- Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred, but not required
- Compassionate, friendly demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
