What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA position at Bethany Lutheran Homes?
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide light housekeeping and cleaning of resident rooms and equipment.
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
Document care provided and report any changes in resident condition to the nursing staff.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
Participate in resident activities and recreational programs.
Attend to all resident personal hygiene and personal care needs, including but not limited to grooming, hygiene, dining and nutritional needs, mobility, elimination, psychosocial and safety needs.
Requirements:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred, but not required.
Willingness to complete on-the-job training if not certified.
Compassion, patience, and a desire to work with seniors.
Strong communication skills
Punctual with good attendance
Must be available for the evening shift.
