Role Description

The Controller role is a full-time, on-site position located in Story City, Iowa. The Controller will oversee financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, managing payroll and accounts payable processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The candidate will collaborate with leadership to develop financial strategies and provide insights to support organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and budgeting processes
• Proficiency in financial software systems, spreadsheet management, and data analytics tools
• Experience overseeing payroll, accounts payable, and financial compliance
• Leadership and management experience, including supervising financial teams
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus
• Experience in the non-profit or healthcare sectors is strongly preferred
