About the Role
We’re seeking a Tax Administrator who enjoys working with people, pays attention to details, and takes pride in ensuring tax returns are completed accurately and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative foundation who is eager to grow their tax knowledge and skills in a supportive and professional environment.
What You’ll Do
- Gather, organize, and verify client tax documents including W-2s, 1099s, and expense records.
- Use tax software (e.g., ProSeries) to input and manage tax-related information for return preparation and filing.
- Conduct client tax interviews to collect necessary information for returns.
- Review and double-check all data, calculations, and forms for accuracy and compliance.
- Print, assemble, and organize tax return folders for client appointments and file management.
- Handle printing, copying, scanning, faxing, and mailing tax and business documents.
- Maintain client confidentiality and ensure secure handling of sensitive financial information.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Support administrative tasks and assist CPA and tax team as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
· Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
· Experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or tax preparation office preferred.
· Experience with ProSeries preferred.
· Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and superior client service.
· Adaptability to changing systems and business needs.
· Positive attitude and teachable mindset.
Seasonal Hours
- 40 hours per week on average
- Reduced summer hours (approx. 36 hrs) May 1 - Labor Day
- Occasional nights or weekends may be required February - April
Experience
- Office experience in an accounting, bookkeeping or tax preparation office preferred
- Proficiency with ProSeries preferred

- High school diploma or equivalent required
