Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Full-Time Twos Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will create a vibrant classroom environment that fosters growth, curiosity, and joy among toddlers. Your expertise in early childhood education, combined with your enthusiasm for working with young children, will help lay a strong foundation for their future learning and development.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of two-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where appropriate
- Foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and child welfare
- Support early intervention strategies to address individual learning needs and encourage social-emotional growth
- Manage classroom routines and activities efficiently while maintaining clear communication with children, parents, and colleagues
- Use classroom management techniques to ensure a structured yet flexible learning space that encourages exploration and independence
- Incorporate standardized testing and assessment tools to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum development, and implementing best practices in childhood development
- 4 day work week
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children aged 2-3 years in a preschool or daycare setting (Minimum of 1 yr experience)
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care and childhood development milestones
- Experience with curriculum development that includes literacy education, math skills, physical education, and special education strategies
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and child welfare
- Previous private school or daycare experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for ongoing professional development is essential
