Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Assistant Pastor role. The Assistant Pastor will actively support the spiritual growth of the congregation through teaching, pastoring, and discipleship with a focus primarily upon Youth Ministry.
We have a thriving Youth Ministry that averages 40-45 youth weekly. (1/2 of which are in Jr/Sr High). We currently operate with a staff of great volunteers. Our Youth Ministry meets weekly, on Wednesdays, from 6:30 PM to 8 PM, throughout the school year. We have a thriving Vacation Bible School that averages 100 youth in grades K-12. This is also lead with volunteers. VBS is held Monday thru Friday, the 3rd week of July, from 6 PM to 8:30 PM.
In addition to Youth Ministry, this position offers opportunities to provide pastoral care as well as preaching opportunities. There is a great deal of potential for the right individual to grow with this position. There is a desire of the Lead Pastor to mentor the right individual to take on more pastoral responsibilities.
