Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and the ability to engage with students across various age groups and learning abilities. As a Substitute Teacher, you will step into classrooms to provide instruction, manage student behavior, and ensure a productive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher. This role is essential in maintaining continuity in education and supporting the academic growth of students.
Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure that educational objectives are met.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with students to facilitate understanding of lesson material.
- Assist students with their learning needs, including those with special requirements such as autism.
- Manage classroom activities and transitions smoothly to maximize instructional time.
- Provide support in literacy education and other subjects as needed.
- Supervise students during breaks and transitions, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Prepare reports on student progress and behavior for the regular teacher.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare, tutoring, or working with children is preferred.
- Familiarity with lesson planning and classroom management techniques is beneficial.
- Experience or training in literacy education is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs within the classroom setting.
- A background in preschool education or working with children of various ages is advantageous.
