The Patient Food Service Associate provides support to patient meal service by accurately entering menu selections, printing meal service reports, communicating with patients and nursing staff, and helping ensure diet orders, preferences, and special requests are handled timely and correctly.

Works as a cohesive team member; communicates clearly and openly with all member of the nutrition services team and healthcare professionals to ensure the needs of the patients are met in a manner consistent with Bethany Children’s Health Center’s mission, vision, values and standards |

Assist with school nutrition program documentation, reimbursement information. Update daily menus, specials, foodservice communication within the hospital. Print menus, cafeteria signage, and patient menu materials. |

Verify each prepared tray for accuracy, including diet order, allergies, portion sizes, texture level, liquid thickness, and International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI) requirements before tray delivery. |

Bethany Children’s Health Center is an innovative leader in the field of pediatric rehabilitation and 24-hour complex care.
