What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bethany Childcare After School Teacher/Mentor position at Bethany Childcare Inc?
Small, state-certified after school program seeks mature, dependable adult to become a valued member of our community. Our long tenured program is now operating at four Bethany area elementary schools. We emphasize a healthy, engaging play environment with enthusiastic staff and a positive team approach. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills, a genuine spirit of play, and sincere interest in mentoring school-age children. Responsibilities include a high level of interaction with students and fellow staff members, room setup/take down, snack preparation, and, most importantly, guiding children through the politics of the playground.
This is a part-time position that runs Monday-Friday from approximately 1:30-6:00. Our program operates on school days only according to the Beaverton School District calendar. Plenty of flexibility available for the right candidate.
The following state required training/certifications are helpful for prospective candidates, but not mandatory for application. Any new staff member will be required to obtain these training qualifications in the near term. All course fees are paid and accumulated training hours are compensated with employee's hourly wage.
