Job Description
The Resident Camp Manager at Bethany Birches works closely with the Camp Director and Program Team Members to lead the BBC weekly residential program. The Resident Camp Manager provides leadership to the BBC Program and ensures the program is created and carried out in ways that share Jesus with each camper. They should also lead the program to provide campers with a positive memorable camp experience. This position is responsible for the safety of the campers in the absence of any year round camp directors.
Duration: 10 – 12 weeks

Duties
Below are general additional duties that all program team members share:
Ensure the Program Team is aware of who is leading transitions and instructions for activities.
Creating and developing new program activities.
Liaison between summer staff and Camp Director
Provide timely feedback to continue to improve summer program
Meet with Camp Director as regularly scheduled each week.
Supervision in the absence of the Camp Director, with the support of a year round team member.
Supervise and communicate with Counselors and Assistant Counselors.
Lead daily counselor meetings
Coordinating resident camp schedules (Lifeguarding, breaks, sleep outs, all camp activities, etc )
Coordinate and communicate schedules with the kitchen, day camp, and maintenance managers.
Oversee resident camp activity set up/tear down with the help of program team members.
Facilitation of adventure activities. (Lifeguarding, rock climbing, low ropes leadership, etc.)
Maintain a safe environment at all times
Correspond with parents, via phone or email, as assigned

Requirements
The Resident Camp Manager should have a deep desire to share God’s love with those around them, especially campers. They should enjoy leading large groups of campers and also be equipped to aid counselors in working with difficult campers. The Resident Camp Manager should relate well to others and seek to bring out the best in the summer team. This person should be a good communicator and listener. They should be creative and energetic. The Resident Camp Manager should be able to juggle multiple tasks at once while holding the camper experience as the priority. This person should be able to articulate a faith founded on Jesus Christ both in words and actions.

Compensation
Starting Salary: $300 – $400/week
(higher pay commensurate with experience)
