What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visitation Coach part-time (Lancaster, PA ) position at Bethanna?
SUMMARY:
The Visitation Coach is responsible to provide Children and Youth Social Services Agency with the family visitation aspect of assigned county supervised foster care placements. The Visitation Coach is responsible for providing program intake, visitation schedule oversight, supervised visits, visit coaching and reporting and communication with the provider agency. This will include pre and post visit contacts, parenting education and role modeling during visits. He/she is responsible to develop working relationships with families, children, county agencies and other service providers. He/she is responsible for documentation and necessary paperwork related to all case activity. He/she will meet regularly with the assigned Visitation Supervisor to review cases and discuss practice issues to improve case management and practice skills. The Visitation Coach will abide by the framework and practices of the Visitation Coaching model as developed by Dr. Marty Beyer.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Workers will have a Bachelor or Master degree in the field of Human Services or a related field. Experience in child welfare or a counseling setting is expected.
This position is part-time (approx. 20 hours), 2 evenings and Saturdays as needed.
