The Clinical Research Center collaborates with investigators to provide research clinical support and care of research participants. The Sleep Lab Tech II will conduct and evaluate polysomnography and a variety of sleep related physiological measurements that may occur overnight or during the day. The Sleep Lab Tech II will also be required to work closely with study teams in evaluating these assessments. RPSGT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists) certification is required.Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinates full or cardiopulmonary recordings along with monitoring Oxygen Saturation
Partners with the research team and physicians to monitor and document physiological responses, titrate positive airway pressure, and recognize and treat residual sleep apnea in real time.
Collects and finalizes data using various ambulatory sleep recording systems (e.g., oximetry, ambulatory blood pressure, M1 and actigraphy).
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.
1-3 years related work experience required.
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families and external customers.

Team Work: Ability to interact respectfully with other employees, professional staff and/or external contacts to offer ideas, identify issues, obtain information or deliver services.

Physical Nature of the Job:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling objects. Sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally
