What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Medicine Physician position at Betances Health Center?
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct patient care to Betances patients.
- Supervise the work of the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner assigned to his/her practice. Collaborate and provide supervision with other physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants and students as assigned by Chief Medical Officer
- Adhere to documentation and quality standards set by New York State and any other standards implemented by the Chief Medical Officer
- Maintain an ongoing relationship with back-up hospital and its professionals. Ultimately, have admitting privileges at that institution.
- Timely completion of charts, patient care forms and billing encounters.
- Special Projects to be determined by the Associate Medical Director/Medical Director.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
