Job Description – Nurse - RN

Expectation of Position:
As a member of the management team, the Clinical Supervisor will oversee the healthcare needs of individuals living in the community, provide training to staff and supervise the Licensed Practical Nurses. The Clinical Supervisor will work collaboratively with the Medication Administration Program Coordinator and the Director of Services to ensure compliance with Department of Public Health regulations regarding the administration and documentation by direct support professionals.
Responsibilities:
· Oversees the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed (in coordination with Beta’s MAP coordinator), following the Medication Administration Program and adhering to Department of Public Health and Department of Developmental Services policies and regulations.
· Monitors health status of all individuals and works with staff and health professionals to develop and oversees medical treatment plans and protocols
· Provides direct care to individuals as needed.
· Coordinates the care of individuals served who are hospitalized including having a nurse attend all discharges.
· Supervises the clinical nursing staff.
· Oversees and/or provide training to staff regarding medical diagnoses, treatment, and protocols.
· As a member of the management team, attends management meetings and clinical meetings as needed.
· Ensures that safety standards and infection control procedures are followed.
· Completes accurate written reports, assessments and protocols as needed.
· Flexibility is required for staff training
Qualifications:
· A current Massachusetts license as a registered nurse with at least three years nursing experience and a valid driver’s license is also required.
· Prior supervisory experience and/or two years’ experience with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of the Department of Public Health Medication Administration Program is a plus.
· Basic computer literacy is required.
· Must hold either a current MAP trainer certification or be willing to become certified in this area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
