Floor Specialist – Janitorial Services

Bestway Services, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Floor Specialist to perform advanced floor-care services and serve as a hands-on trainer and resource for our Floor Technicians.

This is not an entry-level Floor Technician position. We are looking for someone with extensive hands-on floor-care experience who knows the equipment, chemicals, products, and proper processes needed to maintain and restore a variety of floor surfaces. The Floor Specialist must be able to evaluate floor conditions, determine the appropriate floor-care process, troubleshoot problems, and consistently produce high-quality results.

In addition to performing floor-care work, this position will train and coach Floor Technicians, demonstrate proper techniques, reinforce safety and quality standards, and help ensure consistency across Bestway's floor-care operations.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced floor-care services, including stripping, sealing, waxing/finishing, scrubbing, buffing, burnishing, carpet extraction, and restorative floor-care procedures.
• Train and coach Floor Technicians on proper floor-care techniques, equipment operation, chemical use, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Provide hands-on demonstrations and instruction during floor-care projects.
• Evaluate floor conditions and determine the appropriate equipment, chemicals, pads, products, and procedures for the work being performed.
• Identify and troubleshoot floor-care issues, including finish buildup, uneven or damaged finish, staining, scuffing, and improperly maintained surfaces.
• Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, carpet extractors, wet vacuums, and other professional floor-care equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect completed floor-care work and provide additional instruction or corrective guidance when standards are not met.
• Ensure floor-care chemicals are properly selected, mixed, handled, labeled, stored, and used according to manufacturer instructions and company safety requirements.
• Clean, inspect, and maintain floor-care equipment and report equipment requiring repair or service.
• Assist with planning and completing scheduled floor-care projects and special assignments.
• Work alongside Floor Technicians to complete projects while reinforcing proper techniques and quality expectations.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with company and customer safety requirements.
• Communicate equipment needs, training needs, floor-care concerns, and quality issues to management.
• Provide floor-care support at other Bestway locations or special projects as operational needs require.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum of three (3) years of professional floor-care experience required.
• Extensive hands-on experience with stripping and refinishing hard-surface floors, scrub and recoat procedures, buffing, burnishing, carpet extraction, and restorative floor care.
• Strong knowledge of floor-care equipment, chemicals, finishes, pads, dilution requirements, and appropriate processes for different floor surfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate floor conditions, troubleshoot floor-care problems, and determine appropriate corrective action.
• Experience training, coaching, or providing hands-on floor-care instruction to others strongly preferred.
• Ability to clearly demonstrate floor-care procedures and explain proper techniques to employees with varying levels of experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and take the lead during floor-care projects when needed.
• Must be dependable and able to consistently work the assigned schedule.
• Must follow all company and customer safety requirements.
• Must be able to successfully complete required background screening.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on position. The Floor Specialist must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull; safely lift and carry supplies, equipment, and chemical containers weighing up to 50 pounds; and safely operate and control professional floor-care machinery. These requirements are consistent with the physical demands of Bestway's existing Floor Technician role.
