Game Day Assistants – Part-Time Youth Sports

BestPlay Sports is looking for a reliable, energetic, and responsible Game Day Assistant to help keep our youth sports programs running smoothly on Saturdays.

This is a flexible, hands-on role where you’ll assist with whatever is needed throughout the day to help games, players, coaches, referees, and families stay organized and on schedule. Responsibilities may vary from week to week depending on the needs of the games and program.

You may help with field setup, equipment, player check-in, directing families, supporting coaches and referees, organizing teams, and, when needed, helping referee or officiate soccer and flag football games.

This is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, athletes, or anyone looking for flexible weekend part-time work in a fun youth sports environment.

Responsibilities

• Help set up and break down fields and game-day equipment
• Assist with player check-in and directing families
• Help coaches and referees with game-day needs
• Assist with organizing teams and getting players ready for games
• Help keep games running smoothly and on schedule
• Assist with refereeing or officiating soccer and/or flag football games when needed
• Keep equipment, fields, and game areas organized
• Help address unexpected game-day needs as they come up
• Provide friendly and helpful support to players, parents, coaches, and referees
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and organized environment
• Take on other game-day responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Positive, energetic, and comfortable taking initiative
• Comfortable working with children ages 3–11
• Able to work outdoors and stay active for several hours
• Comfortable handling different tasks and adjusting to changing game-day needs
• Enjoy working in a youth sports environment
• Knowledge or experience with soccer and/or flag football is a plus
• Previous sports, coaching, or refereeing experience is a plus, but not required
• Must be available on Saturdays

Compensation & Schedule

• $18/hour
• Approximately 6 hours every Saturday
• Part-time weekend position
• Consistent Saturday schedule
