What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Technician position at BestNest Management?
BestNest Management is currently seeking Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to work a 6 month contract at the State Prison in Ione, CA; possibility of extension or offer of permanent employment with the state.
Pay Rate: $50/ hr
Location: Ione, CA
Shifts:
- AM-Thurs-Mon // 6am-2:30pm, Sat-Wed 2pm-10:30pm, Fri-Tues 2pm-10:30pm, Sat-Wed 6am-2:30pm
Responsibilities for LPT:
- Give a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care
- Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitoring of patient /youth with signs and symptoms of mental illness
- Administer medications and treatments, including hypodermic injections, take and chart temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration, etc
- Development of treatment plans and objectives from assessments
Requirements for LPT:
- 1 year experience as an LPT
- LPT License in the State of California
- BLS From (American Heart Association)
