🏥 Facility Overview
This is a comprehensive Cath Lab program within a Level II trauma center, staffed by:
- Interventional Cardiologists
- Interventional Radiologists
- General Surgery team
The lab provides a full range of cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, offering exposure to complex, high-level interventional cases.
🫀 Procedures Performed
Technologists will assist in a wide variety of advanced procedures, including:
- Left & Right Heart Catheterization
- PTCA & Coronary Stenting
- Thrombectomy & Atherectomy
- Carotid diagnostics & stenting
- Pacemaker insertions
- Peripheral vascular interventions
- AV graft interventions
- Kyphoplasty
- Tilt Table Testing
- Upcoming TAVR program expansion
⚙️ Key Equipment Experience (Preferred Exposure)
- Philips Laser System
- IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound)
- OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography)
- Coronary & Peripheral Atherectomy Devices
- Siemens Artis Zee C-arms (dual lab setup)
- McKesson Cardiology, CPACS & Hemodynamic systems
🩺 Role Responsibilities
- Assist in Cath Lab interventional procedures
- Monitor patients during cardiac and vascular interventions
- Support pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care
- Assist with patient transport and procedural workflow
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary Cath Lab team
- Participate in on-call rotation (7 days/month 1 weekend/month)
📋 Requirements
- Experience as Radiologic Technologist or Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS preferred)
- BLS certification required
- Ability to rotate through on-call schedule
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced interventional environment
