Position Overview
The State of Texas is seeking an experienced Power Apps / Dynamics 365 Developer to support enterprise application development initiatives using the Microsoft Power Platform. The selected candidate will work under limited supervision and exercise independent judgment to analyze business needs, design technical solutions, and develop applications that enhance or automate business processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business objectives, operational procedures, and user requirements to identify system improvements and automation opportunities
- Confer with agency personnel to evaluate current processes, identify issues, and define data input, output, and reporting requirements
- Perform feasibility and cost/benefit analyses for proposed technical solutions
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies
- Develop Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps utilizing Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, and other backend data sources
- Create and maintain Power Automate cloud flows, desktop flows, and business process flows
- Design and manage Dataverse tables, relationships, and data models
- Develop and support Power Pages and PowerApps Portals
- Utilize the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Admin Center for governance, administration, and best practices
- Prepare detailed technical documentation outlining system functionality, development steps, and user requirements
- Review system capabilities, specifications, and limitations to determine feasibility of requested enhancements
Minimum Requirements (Mandatory)
Candidates who do not meet or exceed the minimum requirements may be visible to the client but may not be selected.
- Five or more years of experience working in Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments
- Four or more years of experience with Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate technical solutions
- Four or more years of experience in Microsoft Power Platform development
- Four or more years of experience designing and developing Canvas and Model-Driven PowerApps using Dataverse, SharePoint, or other backend data sources
- Four or more years of experience developing Power Automate cloud flows, desktop flows, and business process flows
- Four or more years of experience working with Dataverse tables and data structures
- Four or more years of experience developing Power Pages or PowerApps Portals
- Four or more years of experience using the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Admin Center
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Two or more years of experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technical teams
- Two or more years of experience working in Agile development environments, including sprint planning
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- One or more years of experience with Power Platform mobile apps, Power Virtual Agents, Power Pages, or PowerApps Portals
