About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on GCP Solutions/Data Architect to design, build, and scale modern data platforms on Google Cloud. This role requires deep expertise in data architecture, BigQuery, and cloud-native data engineering, along with strong programming capabilities.
This is a hands-on role where you will actively contribute to building scalable data solutions while providing architectural leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Lead data migration projects (on-premise to cloud and cloud-to-cloud)
- Build and optimize data lakes and data warehouses on GCP
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
- Work with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage
- Implement Data Mesh and Data Products architecture
- Build semantic data models using BigQuery
- Design event-driven and streaming data solutions
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and highly available
- Collaborate in Agile environments and support CI/CD best practices
Required Qualifications
- 15 years of overall IT experience
- 10 years of experience in Data Engineering and Cloud technologies
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Deep expertise in BigQuery (required)
- Experience with:
- Dataflow / Apache Beam
- Dataproc / Spark
- Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data management
- Experience delivering end-to-end data and analytics solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Vertex AI or Machine Learning workloads
- Exposure to event streaming frameworks (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka)
- Familiarity with modern data architecture patterns such as Data Mesh
- Experience with Agentic AI systems is a plus
