What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacist position at BESTCARE PHARMACY?
Job Overview
Plans, directs and monitors all clinical activities of the pharmacy. Implements policies and procedures that ensure that the pharmacy provides optimal pharmaceutical services that meet all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements. Keeps current with State regulations regarding the practice of Pharmacy and implements changes as necessary to maintain competence. Develops clinical programs to increase patient adherence and compliance with medication regimen.
Duties
- Dispense medications accurately following prescriptions
- Provide medication counseling to patients on proper usage and potential side effects
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment plans
- Conduct patient assessments to ensure safe medication use
- Perform utilization reviews to enhance medication therapy outcome
- Creates an environment that encourages staff to report/resolve complicated issues and
to be creative in improving patient care and service.
- Assures pharmacy’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Responds promptly to problems of non-compliance and takes corrective actions as needed
- Completes the required CEUs mandated to maintain license and/or minimum of 8 hours
of in-service and training per year
Experience
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Ohio
- Bilingual(Spanish, Swahili, Burmese, Karan) in addition to English preferred
Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
