Respite Provider

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Provider to offer vital support and relief to families caring for loved ones with diverse behavioral health needs. In this role, you will deliver personalized care, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of individuals across various settings including homes and community environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive experience for both clients and their families, providing essential respite while promoting independence and quality of life.

Duties

• Provide attentive supervision and care for individuals with behavioral disabilities, autism, dementia, or other special needs, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep, community activities, de-escalation techniques, and etc.
• Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in accordance with agency policies.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as trauma informed care and de-escalation techniques training.
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities, including developmental delays, dementia, or autism spectrum disorder.
• Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of distress or medical emergencies.
• Knowledge of care plans, medication protocols, and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate attitude toward clients and their families. Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
