Pay: $20.00–$29.00 per hour (Based on experience, certifications, qualifications, and home dialysis experience.)

BestCare Dialysis Services is seeking compassionate Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technicians (CCHTs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our growing team as Dialysis Care Companions.

This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about helping patients succeed with home dialysis by providing compassionate support, encouragement, education reinforcement, and companionship while supporting the successful completion of home dialysis treatments in the comfort of the patient’s home.

Position Summary

As a Dialysis Care Companion, you will provide compassionate in-home support to individuals performing home dialysis treatments. Working alongside patients, caregivers, nephrologists, and the patient’s dialysis care team, you will help promote confidence, treatment adherence, safety awareness, emotional support, and the successful completion of prescribed home dialysis treatments.

Candidates with NxStage® Home Hemodialysis experience are strongly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support patients during the completion of prescribed home dialysis treatments.
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support during treatment sessions.
• Reinforce patient education provided by the dialysis clinic and healthcare team.
• Encourage treatment adherence and healthy dialysis routines.
• Observe patients during treatment and communicate concerns through appropriate reporting channels.
• Assist with treatment preparation and post-treatment organization in accordance with company policies and training.
• Promote a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.
• Document required visit information accurately and professionally.
• Support caregivers and family members through encouragement and education reinforcement.
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Build trusting relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Follow all BestCare policies, HIPAA requirements, infection prevention standards, and safety procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT)

• Current CCHT Certification
• Current BLS Certification
• Home dialysis experience preferred

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Active Virginia LPN License
• Current BLS Certification
• Home dialysis experience preferred

Registered Nurse (RN)

• Active Virginia RN License
• Current BLS Certification
• Home dialysis experience preferred
