About the Role
BESTAFF is hiring an experienced Outbound Supervisor to lead daily shipping operations for a growing distribution partner in Indianapolis, IN. You'll oversee a fulfillment team of 50 associates, keep OTIF and e-commerce shipping on track every day, and work hand-in-hand with the Outbound Fulfillment Manager to keep labor aligned with the business. You'll report directly to the GM.
What You'll Do
- Monitor daily reports to ensure OTIF (on-time-in-full) shipping
- Monitor SLAs and ensure e-commerce fulfillment ships on time every day
- Monitor TikTok orders to ensure on-time shipping, without fail
- Assist the fulfillment team with challenges on the floor
- Work with the Outbound Fulfillment Manager to align labor with daily business needs
- Help move labor to cover volume as needed
- Champion safety and warehousing protocols on the floor
- Operate forklift equipment as needed
- Motivate and encourage the team, keeping morale and performance high
What You Bring
- 5 years of experience in a shipping environment; distribution experience a big plus
- Experience supervising 50 associates
- Experience with OMS (Order Management Systems) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
- Understands RF scanners and pick/pack functions
- Able to operate forklift equipment
- Team player who works well independently and as part of a team
- Data-driven with an understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong sense of urgency
- Able to work extended hours during peak season
- Bilingual a plus, not required
