Job SummaryBestacare LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work in a Group Home setting in Virginia. DSPs provide direct care, supervision, and daily support to residents, helping them stay safe, build independence, and follow consistent routines in a respectful, person-centered environment. ResponsibilitiesProvide direct supervision and support to residents in the group home based on their individual needs and house routines.Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, bathing, meal support, and mobility help as needed.Support life skills like cleaning up after yourself, laundry, meal prep basics, organization, coping skills, and following schedules.Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment (light housekeeping and assigned shift duties).Support residents with community activities and appointments as assigned (transportation may be required depending on the shift).Follow individual plans and house rules; use approved, trained strategies to prevent and respond to behavioral concerns.Complete accurate documentation including shift notes, daily logs, progress notes, incident reports, and house communication logs.Report safety concerns, injuries, incidents, and suspected abuse/neglect/exploitation immediately per policy.Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and agency procedures at all times.Attend required training and staff meetings and maintain compliance with company standards. QualificationsMust be 18 years or olderHigh school diploma/GED preferredReliable, respectful, and consistent (group homes run on routine — dependability matters)Able to communicate clearly and complete required documentationAble to stay calm and professional during stressful situationsExperience in direct care/group home work is a plus, but we will train the right person Requirements Must pass required background checks and meet eligibility to work in a residential settingValid driver’s license and acceptable driving record if transportation is requiredAbility to complete/maintain required trainings (ex: CPR/First Aid, mandatory reporting, safety procedures) Physical RequirementsMay include standing/walking for extended periods, lifting/bending, and assisting with mobility support as needed.
