Position Title: Bartender
Reports To: Front of House Manager / Bar Manager
Location: Alpine Lodge Restaurant at the Best Western Swiss Clock Inn – Pecos, TX
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and energetic Bartender to join our team at the Alpine Lodge Restaurant. You will be responsible for preparing both classic cocktails and regional favorites, serving our restaurant and bar guests, and maintaining a welcoming, lively atmosphere. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, a strong knowledge of spirits and beers, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced West Texas environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Welcome guests, present the beverage menu, make recommendations, and take food and drink orders.
- Mixology & Preparation: Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with our recipes and standard pours.
- Bar Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked bar area, including washing glassware, replenishing ice, and restocking beer/liquor.
- Responsible Service: Check guest identification to ensure they meet the minimum legal drinking age and monitor for responsible alcohol consumption.
- Point of Sale (POS): Process transactions using the POS system accurately and handle cash and credit payments.
- Collaboration: Work alongside waitstaff to fulfill drink orders for the dining room and assist with food service at the bar top when needed.
- Sidework & Safety: Adhere strictly to local food and beverage safety laws and assist with opening/closing checklists.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of proven bartending or high-volume serving experience.
- Certifications: Current Texas TABC certification and Food Handler's certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with mixing drinks, beer brands, and standard bar inventory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs (kegs, cases of bottles).
- Personality: Friendly, professional demeanor with great conversational skills for our diverse local and traveling clientele.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
