This position is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 5am-1am, Saturday and Sunday 6am to 2pm. There may be times where you're offered extra hours or shifts, but these days and hours are set and not flexible.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner;
- Check guests in and out via the hotel's reservation software;
- Answer calls and assist callers as needed;
- Assist guests with questions or inquiries regarding hotel services and amenities;
- Process reservations and payments, keeping accurate record of transactions;
- Ensure front desk and lobby are clean and organized;
- Prepare breakfast to be served each morning;
- Adheres to food safety practices;
- Cleans and maintains all service and eating areas;
- Preforms a variety of food preparation duties;
- Cleans and maintains kitchen and equipment;
- Restocks supplies for the next day;
- Assist in processing and folding linens and towels for guest use;
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Self-motivated without direct supervision;
- Proficient in learning/using phone systems and computer software;
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information;
- Problem-solving skills to address guest inquiries, complaints or unusual problems;
- Front Desk Clerk positions are independent workers, there are no overlapping shifts. Being confidant, comfortable in security measures and staying aware of your surroundings is a must;
Pay: $12.50 - $13.00 per hour
Application Question(s):
- The 1st shift front desk clerk tends to have a higher volume of face to face interaction with guests. The person who gets the position will be comfortable and confidant being a lone worker. While you don't have to run an obstacle course, you will do a great deal of back and forth between kitchen and front desk. You'll also go up and down the stairs multiple times in a shift. Any time spent away from the desk needs to be minimum. Are you comfortable being on the move?
