Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens
- Use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces in immaculate condition
- Safely handle chemical agents for cleaning and sanitation purposes by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures
- Conduct floor care activities including vacuuming carpets and performing manual handling tasks for heavy lifting of furniture or supplies
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by adhering to hotel housekeeping management protocols and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Proven custodial or housekeeping experience within a hospitality environment or similar setting
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, industrial cleaning methods, and floor care procedures
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while complying with safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems is a plus
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards is highly desirable
