Laundry Attendant

Best Western Plus Blue Angel Inn is looking to add to their team! We are looking for a Laundry Attendant for both part time and full-time positions.

As a Laundry Attendant, you will be expected to sort, wash, dry, and fold hotel linens. You should have exceptional knowledge of using laundry equipment and various laundry techniques to ensure the longevity of hotel linen is never compromised.

You should maintain and update the records of the laundry belongings. In addition to this, you should also inspect the laundry for any rips, tears, stains, etc. You will be employing stain removal techniques to remove stains if needed.

As an ideal candidate, you should possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to pay close attention to detail. You should be able to work independently as and when required. Your ultimate goal is to provide excellent laundry service for our guests so we can maintain award-winning hotel accommodations for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Separate, wash, dry, and fold hotel linen and laundry items.
• Spot treat and soak heavily soiled or stained linens.
• Arrange linen in the laundry room as per the specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory in the laundry room.
• Assist housekeepers with ensuring they have the linen needed to complete the tasks for the day, as well as prepare for the following day.
• Maintain the common areas throughout the day.
• Work with the Executive Housekeeper to ensure inventory is stocked and never depleted.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant or a similar position in the Hospitality industry will be considered.
• Extensive experience in using laundry detergents and cleaning equipment.
• Open availability to include weekends and holidays.
• Well versed in using laundry equipment and maintaining the types of equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and objects.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Extraordinary team skills.
• Keen attention to detail.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and bend for periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows, and hands (below waist and overhead movements).
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a moderate weight frequently.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.50 per hour
