Candlewood Suites in Oak Harbor, WA is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Utility/Janitor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our hotel guests. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help ensure that our facilities are well-kept and functional.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, shampooing carpet and sanitizing various areas.
- Maintain and restock supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and performing minor repairs.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working order and report any issues.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to health regulations.
- Assist with special projects and event setups as needed.
- Assist in scheduled deep clean of hotel rooms.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and bending.
- High School Diploma
- Must have current Driver's License
